John is Evan White’s father. He and his wife, Patty, are Asheville natives. They have three children, Evan, Aaron, and Caroline. “Since I grew up as a
boy scout in the Daniel Boone Council, it’s rewarding to see my son enjoying some of the same camps and fun times that I did. Aside from church and
family, the principles that Scouting taught me have had the greatest impact on who I am today. I hope that I can have half the influence on these young
men that my Scoutmaster, Paul Mann, had on me.” John practices dentistry in South Asheville, and owns a private solo practice in the Skyland area.

 

Jay Walton, Assistant Scoutmaster

Jay is father of Andy Walton and a former Webelo scout himself. "I enjoy helping guide the boys along their path toward adulthood, and learning a few things from them along the way! This organization is so much more than camping and tying knots. Scouting provides an invaluable education for kids, teaching them the life skills necessary to become successful adults." Jay's full time work is as an audio sound engineer and IT manager for SunSpots Productions, a provider of voice-overs for radio, television and industrial narrations.
